Sessions would take place once a week and last for fifty minutes. I ask that you choose a room you feel the most quiet and comfortable in and that you have no interruptions for the duration of the session.

I charge 45p a mile for my travel there and back on top of the session charge, and I would be able to confirm what this additional cost would be in our initial consultation.

WALk & talk in nature


In recent years, more has been discovered about the benefits that movement and being out in nature

can have on our mental health. Being out in nature offers a unique and dynamic way of experiencing

therapy, and it can be helpful for individuals who may find the experience of sitting face-to-face under

the gaze of a counsellor uncomfortable. For counselling to be effective, it is important you

feel at ease in sessions and working outdoors can be a way of enabling this. It feels important for my

practice to offer counselling in a variety of settings, so you as a client can choose what best suits your

wants and needs.

In my personal experience, having transitioned to having therapy sessions outdoors after having

indoor face to face sessions for several years, I experienced a profound shift in how I engaged in the

session and what I gained from them. I have always loved being outdoors, but in my day-to-day life, I

often enjoy it at a fast pace. Walk and talk therapy provides the opportunity to slow down and really

feel into what is going on around us. That slowing down allows us to tap into that curiosity and sense

of wonder we experienced as children, but often lose touch with in the fast-paced world of being an

adult. Re-connecting like this gives us resources to draw upon when we face life’s daily challenges.

  • I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

    currently working towards accreditation. I work under the BACP’s ethical framework and I have

    professional liability insurance for my counselling practice. If we begin working together, I will go

    through our confidentiality agreement and ask you to review and sign my counsellor and client

    working agreement.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes long and I charge £50 per session.

    I also hold two concessionary spaces on a waiting list system, so please get in touch if this is something you would like to inquire into.
